How to do Automatic Shutdown?
With the following steps you can easily shutdown pc :
Windows 11, 10, 8, 8.1, 7
- Type “Task Scheduler” in the search box on taskbar.
- Press Enter.
- In the Task Scheduler window, click on “Create Basic Task” from the right-hand pane.
- Complete the wizard by setting a name and description for the task.
- Click on Next button.
- Choose the frequency (daily, weekly, etc.) and set the time for the shutdown.
- Again click on Next button.
- Set the Date and Time of shutdown from the window.
- Click on Next and then select “Start a program” as the action.
- In the “Program/script” field, enter shutdown.
- Click on Finish button.
Windows XP
- Click on the “Start” button.
- Select “All Programs,” then select “Accessories” and “System Tools” .
- Now click on the “Scheduled Tasks” option.
- Double-click “Add Scheduled Task” to open the wizard.
- Click on “Browse” and navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe.
- Follow the prompts to schedule the task and set the time.
MacOS
Using the built-in “Energy Saver” settings in macOS, you can do an automatic shutdown.
- In the top-left corner of the screen, select the Apple menu.
- From the dropdown menu, choose “System Preferences”.
- Click “Energy Saver” in the System Preferences box to open it.
- In the Energy Saver window, click the “Schedule” button.
- If “Start up or wake” is checked, select “Shut Down” from the dropdown menu.
- Set the time when you want the automatic shutdown to occur.
- To confirm the scheduling, click “OK”.
- Your Mac will now automatically shut down at the specified time according to the schedule you’ve set.
